Consultation fees vary by expert based on their specialty and experience. The exact fee for each expert is shown on their profile and confirmed at the time of booking — there are no hidden charges.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment partner, Airwallex. Payments are processed in US dollars.
Yes. Full details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If your expert is unable to attend the scheduled consultation, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule with another specialist at no additional cost.
How Consultations Work
Standard consultations typically last 30 minutes. Some experts offer longer initial consultations for new patients — the exact duration is shown on each expert's profile before you book.
You join a secure video call with your expert at the scheduled time. The expert reviews any reports you have shared, discusses your concerns, answers your questions, and provides their guidance and recommendations. You can take notes or ask the expert to clarify anything.
No special software is required. You will need a device with a working camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or smartphone), a stable internet connection, and a modern browser like Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox. We will send you a test link before your consultation so you can confirm everything works.
Yes. After booking, you can securely upload diagnostic reports, scans, lab results, and other relevant documents for your expert to review before your consultation begins. This helps the expert prepare and gives you more time to discuss your specific situation during the call.
Second Opinions & Follow-ups
A second opinion is when another specialist reviews your existing diagnosis or treatment plan independently. It is particularly valuable when facing a major cancer diagnosis, considering significant treatment decisions, or wanting confirmation of a course of action before starting treatment.
Yes. You can share your existing pathology reports, imaging, and treatment plans with your expert before the consultation. They will provide an independent review and their professional perspective during the call.
Yes. You can book follow-up consultations with the same expert through their profile page. We recommend follow-ups for ongoing care, treatment monitoring, or whenever new questions arise during your care journey.
Prescriptions & Medical Records
Whether your expert can issue digital prescriptions depends on your location, the specific medication, and local healthcare regulations. Discuss this with your expert during your consultation — they will explain what is possible in your situation and how to coordinate with your local healthcare provider if needed.
Yes. After each consultation, your expert provides a written summary of the discussion, their recommendations, and any next steps. You can access this summary from your account at any time.

Privacy, Security & Trust
Yes. All consultations are private, one-on-one conversations between you and your expert. Conversations are not recorded by default, and any recordings would only be made with your explicit consent.

Yes. Every expert on HealthUnwired completes a verification process where we confirm their medical credentials, licensure, and specialty board certifications. Their qualifications and experience are visible on each expert's profile page.
