Mark Sean Taylor is the Founder & CEO of Patient Led Health Ltd and co-author of Hacking Cancer (https://www.hackingcancer.health/). For the past six years, he has worked exclusively as a consultant in advanced cancer research and patient navigation, bridging the latest oncology science with the lived reality of patients and their families. His path here wasn't academic — it was personal. After 20 years in finance and technology across New York, London, and Hong Kong, Mark was diagnosed with minimal residual pancreatic cancer, detected via circulating tumour cells, in 2016. That diagnosis reshaped his focus entirely. He brought the same rigour he'd applied to complex financial systems to an even harder problem: making sense of cancer care when the science moves fast and the path forward rarely feels clear. Today, Mark consults for five clinics around the world and, through Patient Led Oncology, provides private consultations and speaks at international oncology conferences — helping patients weigh their options across both the latest immunotherapy advances and complementary, whole-person approaches, grounded in evidence, not dogma. He is building Hacking Cancer into a digital ecosystem that connects patients, clinicians, and caregivers through transparent, human-centred pathways, moving cancer care from fragmentation and isolation toward clarity, empowerment, and connection.
